Linda Moore, District Governor

Linda has been an Altrusan and a member of the Temple club since 1999.  Since that time, she has served her local club in various positions.  She was Club President in 2005-2006 and has served on the Club Foundation Board twice.  Linda currently serves as Governor-Elect of District Nine and previously  served as First Vice-Governor and Program Coordinator and as Director and Chair of the Leadership Development Committee.  Linda was also Co-Chair of District Nine Conference in 2009 that was held in Killeen.

Linda has also served her community in other organizations.  She served on the Temple Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 3 years with 2 of those years on the Executive Board.  She is a graduate of Leadership Temple and has served as a Loaned Executive for United Way of Central Texas. Linda was Co-Chair of the Caring Ball raising funds for the Temple Community Clinic working alongside the Bell County Medical Alliance.

Linda lives in Belton and has been married to Joe for 27 years.  They have 2 children, Madison and Brooks.  Outside of Altrusa, she loves to travel and attend sporting events.

Beth Blair, Governor - Elect
Altrusa International of Dallas

Beth Blair has been an Altrusan since 1997 and has held numerous leadership positions on the club level, including president, and has served District Nine as editor of News of Mighty Ninth, Secretary, Second Vice Governor, First Vice Governor, Governor-Elect, and Governor (2013-2015). She found particular fulfillment in implementing many new ideas as Governor Kathy Folley’s program coordinator in 2009-2011 and as Governor in 2013-2015, when District Nine became 1,000 members strong and chartered two (and several half) new clubs.

She will be only the second Governor in District Nine history to serve two terms. On the international level, Beth has served as daily newsletter editor for both the 2001 and 2005 International Conventions, and served twice as a member of the International Communications Committee. This biennium, Beth is vice chair of the International Leadership Development Committee; she led a committee that rewrote the Club Presidents Handbook with the goal of reducing page count to make it more user-friendly.

Mary Pearson, 1st Vice Governor

Mary Black Pearson has been a member of Altrusa since 1995 with Altrusa International of Temple. She served as past president for the year 2009–2010; having served on the board as president-elect, vice president, and director. She is a former member of the board of directors for the Foundation for Altrusa International of Temple.

She is former chair of the following committees: Caring Ball supporting the Temple Community Free Clinic now known as the Temple Community Clinic; co-chair of several committees for the Taste of the Holidays fundraising event; membership chair; and community service chair. She was named Altrusan of the Year, 1999, Altrusa International of Temple. She is former fundraising chair and currently serves as new club building chair for District Nine.

She is an attorney in Bell County, Texas, with the firm of PEARSON & PEARSON. She is the past president of the Bell County Bar Association.

Mary currently serves on the board of directors for Families In Crisis Inc., a nonprofit organization with a mission to serve victims of family violence and the homeless. She is past president of the board for United Way of Central Texas, Temple Community Free Clinic.

Shirley Raymer, 2nd Vice Governor
Altrusa International of Garland

Shirley Raymer is currently president of Garland Altrusa. She became an Altrusan in May 2003 and was immediately asked to chair the community service committee. Her background in education helped provide a foundation for establishing the Garland Altrusa literacy programs in the schools of GISD.

Shirley has served on the board of her Club since 2004, serving four years as Club president. She has been a member of the District Nine program team for the past four years, serving as chair of membership development and chair of leadership training. Shirley has been a presenter in District Nine conference workshops for the past five years and led her Garland Club in hosting the 2014 Fall Leadership Workshop. She has also assisted in establishing the new Rockwall Altrusa Club.

Serving the community was the factor that drew Shirley to Altrusa, but she says that the rewards have been much greater. She now has another circle of close and dear friends and the leadership opportunities in Altrusa have helped her grow as an individual.

Shirley is married, with three grown sons and five grandchildren. She loves to spend time with family, travel, cook, entertain, and volunteer.

Kimberly D. Kierce, Treasurer

Kimberly D. Kierce has been a member of Altrusa Internationl of Richardson since 2001.  She has served as President, President Elect, Vice President, Secretary, as well as Foundation Treasurer.  Kimberly has also served as Chair of many club committees which includes Membership, Commucations, Finance, Fundraising, and various Service Committees.  Kimberly also serves as the Website Administrator for the Altrusa Richardson website.  Kimberly was a founding member of the Altrusa Richardson Foundation Board of Trustees and served as as the Foundation Treasuer.  Currently, she is the Assistant Treasurer, responsible for fundraising financials.

For Altrusa District Nine, Kimberly served as the Service Committee Chair (2009-2011 and 2011-2013), and served as a member of the the Revitalization Committee (2013-2015).  Currently, she is servicing the Frisco Club and their Foundation.

Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology for the University of North Texas.  She has twenty-five plus years of experience in municipal courts and is the Court Administrator fo the Richardson Municipal Court.  She also serves on the Texas Court Clerks Association Board and its local chapter board; she has received several awards and recognition form the Association.

Laure Bruner, Director
Altrusa International of Anderson County

Laure Bruner has been a member of Altrusa International of Anderson County since 2006. She has held several leadership positions on the Club level, including three terms as president. She is currently serving as Club Parliamentarian and Service Committee Chair. She has served District Nine as Treasurer as well as on the Finance Committee, Membership Committee, and as the District Nine Social Media Coordinator. 

She currently serves on the District Finance Committee and on the District New Club Building Committee. Laure has also served on the International Leadership Committee and the International Membership Development Committee.

She has worked as a paralegal and office manager for the Law Offices of Jim Parsons since January 2007. Prior to that she has worked for several private and government agencies as a software designer, network administrator and the author of many software manuals. Her current job is by far her favorite job as it allows her to help those in need. And since her boss is so civic minded, he allows her to spend time giving back to her community.

Laure and husband Ken live in Palestine. Together they have two children, five grandchildren and a very spoiled house cat. They enjoy bowling, hunting, fishing, sports and travelling.

Frances Dalbey, Director

Frances Dalbey became an Altrusan in 2003.  She served as President of the Greenville Club in 2009 - 2010.  Her theme was "Light Your World."  This has been a motto that she always attempts to live by.  She has served most offices within her club, except Recording Secretary.  Frances has served as committee chair or co-chair for all four club committees.  She is serving as Director for 2015 - 2017 and Service Chair.  She has served at the District level for several years, having helped with First Timer events, communication workshops, memorial presentations, District Conference program, and a Communications Co-chair.  She was recently bestowed a Lamplighter Award by District Nine.  Frances attended two of the last three International Conventions and enjoys representing her club.

Frances has been the Executive Director of United Way of Hunt County for almost four years, after many years in retail.  She has always been involved in her community; from an early age working in her church, Frances learned that not everyone is at the same pace in life.  She was taught that it was our job to help where and when we can.

She moved to Greenville in 1998 and quickly found places to serve her community.  Frances and her husband, Rich, enjoy making a difference in community programs.  Frances and Rich live in Greenville with their four legged children, Tiger and Sugar.  Rich is a professional angler.  The enjoy getting away on a big boat now and then, cruising through the Gulf.  

Sylvia Zamora, Immediate Past Governor

Sylvia Zamora has been a member of Altrusa International since.1999 and is currently a member of Altrusa International of San Antonio. Sylvia received a BS and Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Texas-Pan American. She is an educational consultant and also manages her family business-ZAMTEX Investments. Sylvia has been married to her high school sweetheart, Ruben, for 34 years and they have two children. Lauren, an Altrusan, is a practicing attorney in San Antonio.and their son Aaron is a student at the University of Texas-San Antonio. Still living at home are Saity and Sasha, their two schnauzers. Her hobbies includes reading, antiquing, and attending musicals and sports events.
